they weren't in any capacity contradictory though, The first stated that she didn't like him just because of his looks and the other stated that he was good looking. You made that link with your own assumptions.
If she said 'I love JJ, he's so good looking' That would have been a contradiction but as it stands it isn't because she never said it was a reason she liked him.
Use what's there, assumptions will get you nowhere.
