There is no need for it at all. I think that the housemates should be judged on what they do or say in the house, not for how they look or what they are like in the 'real' world. Some people can;t seem to think of a reason why they dont like someone unlless it involves an attack on looks.

Imagine what the housemates families should be reading personal comments like Josie is fat or digs about Mario's sexuality etc, they would be fine if it's constructive criticism regarding what has happened in the house but personal comments sure aren't nice to read.
