I get that you have a new found hate for her now Chuff, and thats fine and all, I get why you have taken what you have from this.
Yes, she did lie and throw up an emotional barrier as an automatic defense against being hurt by someone with the power and ability to do that to her, and yes she does laugh in situations that make her nervous, threatened, or scared. No argument, but I think we take the same behaviour and see different things.
I can't hate based on one argument though... and I can't judge a HM for not being pefect 24/7 and having no flaws. Tbh, I only judge HMs harshly when I know I have handled things better in my past but I think we have all said things in the heat of argument much worse then this.
I wonder how many of us would look if someone filmed our fights and then judged us on that snapshot rather then the whole picture of who we are.
What we saw there was a real imperfect person in an honest situation and I can't help but feel a little empathy.
I think she has kept her position due to the fact that a lot of people get that this is an extreme for her and she still has plenty to give, and that this is a long show with a fickle audience and far from over.
Sure, if she was hated in the house and was up now then the rage being shown over her being imperfect (imagine someone not being perfect eh?) would be more relevant, but she is loved in that house and has a long run ahead of her.
I have said from the start I don't think she will win, but she more then deserves to be on that couch at the end.
