I LOVED old skool BB.....the 'social experiment'....just throw some randomers into a house and see what happens...I liked it that the public really DID decide, that the people were people we might have met every day, I liked the chickens, the making their own bread, everything.

Unfortunately (for the the viewers who think like me) it generated too many column inches and Endemol realised just what a great galloping cashcow it could become.....they fussed and faffed with the format and their 'ideal' housemate so many times from BB3 onwards that it became less and less like the original show.

Up until BB5 I think they had it right....after that the wannabees took over the show, the producer's manipulated way too much in the house, and we were subjected to night after night of 'auditions' as the housemates became less interested in their time in the house and more interested in what they were going to get out of it when they got out.
