yes, this time they are being very weird with Steve's editing. There was much more 'build up' and story behind it all,
yet,
as we see here - by 'shoehorning' it into the mix it appears 'awkward' and inexplicable IF you just saw the HLs
I also noticed this with the 'Perv Steve' editing which has certainly worked well to get the big teenage girl demo worked up here,
but,
I noticed the full ongoing dynamic was far more 'give and take' and was building up and into off-colour joking or sexual inuendos,
yet,
that 'shoehorned' editing had Steve appear to just come out of nowhere (or having just squabbled with her) to dropping a sexual innuendo at her,
or,
suddenly (it appears) he is wrestling with her.
The editing made it 'appear' that he just dropped these at completely surprising and inappropriate and awkward moments.
Anyways.. I'm not even trying to make some big defense of Steve or being a big Steve fan,
but,
you are correct that the strange editing did him no service and has led to confused viewers I think.

that sums it up very well nice post.
but on the balance of things any sane adult can see that they pick one villain per week and if this is steves week over then bah it hasnt been so bad

the teeny haters will swallow everything they are told to hate next week as well whoever it might be.
i find it incredible that people lurch from week to week hating whoever gets the bad edit that week but i guess thats how some peoples brains work
