What Dave doesn't understand is that the reason Rachel doesn't get jealous of him is not because Dave's interest in her is purely platonic, but because she doesn't fancy him.

No matter that they act like senile 12-year-olds on the Today programme website - smoking illegal fags to look tough and cool.
