There are different definitions of the word shy.
It can mean someone who is very introverted and doesnt mix with others and keeps very much to themselves - they wouldnt last five minutes in the house.
Or it can mean someone who just takes a while to get to know people and doesnt jump in at the deep end. Nothing wrong with that at all, especially as the numbers diminish they could definitely blossom. After all there are lots of people who relate to smaller groups rather than a mass of people as at the start of BB.
