I'm on thw wind as Benniettes are being so digraceful in utter defeat (52% in a 4 way eviction is MASSIVE). You are correct - as I understand it that was his only paid employment in 2010 - the food parties with socialites are that Ben gets invited by the publisher so that they can publish Ben's article and they get known - it's a common occurence for unwaged wannabe journalists who cover gigs in London without having to pay for a ticket.
The poor bloke is essentially on the dole and living off family/friends (does the sponger have any as the only person BB could find was someone he'd once been at public school with)
