It's the lack of freaks that's turned a lot of people off this series I think, a lack of instantly likable or hateable figures. That's what I like about this series really, the HMs seem like actual human beings and not cartoon characters and that was what was wrong with BB10, too many cartoon characters and not enough people.

How much someone is a cartoon character partly depends how they are portrayed on the HLs and how they are promoted. And anyway you won't get anyone completely innocent about what Big Brother is about anymore, they all know the rules of the game when they go on it (even if some pretend they don't). Sometimes HMs I'm sure are encouraged by the producers to act up to an image, Nikki was an example of that. It's the focus of the show that is more the problem than anything, and the show has become more artificial, manipulated and biased over the years.
