As far as I'm concerned, he deserves to win for that alone but yet theres more ..
He's shown that John isn't the 'Angry Young Man' he portrayed himself at the beginning of the show whilst also highlighting the fact that actually, John is extremely tolerant of how much crap is thrown at Josie!
On top of all of that, its forced all the other HMs to get involved in the backlash ... absolutley brilliant!

So far JJ is being shown up as a coward. He seems to realise that Sam will not back down so has been very careful not to get aggressive with him at all. Even when Sam put his crotch in Josie's face JJ laughed about it. Any real man would have had something to say then, especially if he really does feel about Josie as he is trying to make us believe.
