Dave's offshoot of Christianity has as much right to exist as any religion. All of them are Harry Potter clubs for grown ups - relics of a tribal past where we all cowered from the moon. They are all about propogation of the race and forcing a code of conduct on people via the fear of eternal damnation.
Christianity is proven to be cobbled together from various bits of ancient religions and has a long history of taking money from people for their 'absolution'. Killing non-believers in the crusades, claiming ownership of the 'Holy Land', a white Jesus from the middle-east, making Mary Magdalene a ***** in later rewrites of the bilbe (to subdue women).
