If that's the worst you think you've encountered in life your doing not so bad. I don't classify it as bitching, it more discussion on people motives. If you don't do this and hence question people and challenge people then give most of them an inch and they will take a mile. You can't be that weak and feeble that you don't recognise or accept a challenge if your doing wrong, if you do then your a lost cause. Man up.
