Quite the opposite OP imo. I cringed at how non-responsive he was, it's quite obvious he doesn't want to be anything more than friends to me and he's not admitting so that he keeps her happy (because I think he knows she'd bring confidence issues and her weight problems into it as per usual) and could possibly end his chances of winning.
