New series. The talent contest kicks off with the first round of auditions as the judges give their verdicts on solo singers and groups competing for a recording contract with Simon Cowell's label - a prize won last year by Joe McElderry. Special guest judges including Geri Halliwell will replace Dannii Minogue in the early stages of this year's competition. The Xtra Factor follows on ITV2.
