Not sure when the change happened. I think gradually from about BB5.

All those jobs gave them something to do, a bored housemate is a boring housemate. All those jobs also gave them a sense of being a group, something sadly lacking in later BBs.

Remember the days when a goup meal was cooked every day and they all sat round the table together to eat it. The house was a much better place then.
