i think they are a really good match , i think josie has shown him a lot of love and good humoured common sense is a good antidote to his neurosis and i think on some level he knows that. I'm not sure exactly what josie gets in return though, hopefully love and appreciation and loyalty. when she tells him off it's for a good reason and she retains a sort of motherly unconditional love for him , sometimes a child needs a clip around the ear verbally.
