I dont think he meant that she was an out and out prostitute....but more that her behaviour was like prostituting herself. And i agree.

There are many ways to prostitute yourself other than via a sex for money encounter.

To be in a relationship to invite fame and cash reward is a form of prostitution, whether sex is offered or not.
