On Her Majesty's Secret Service. One of the best ever Bond's and I only realised after this watch why it was so succesful - George Lazenby.
Yeah yeah, I know it sounds funny but when you consider the narrative in question, in which they needed a new Bond to fulfill it's promise - not the superhero Connery Bond, but a more physical, impulsive and yet more vulnerable Bond at the same time.
This was a more tactile, responsive secret agent, more attuned to his gift of ingenuity and creativity than his arsenal of gadgets. No wonder he failed, as did Dalton, when you see the rubbish that was being churned out at the time. I loved this though.
