If the decision was financially driven they're pretty ****ing stupid, really.
Because I'd bet that they'd have made a lot, lot more revenue had John, Sam, Corin and Josie been in the final four. The forums and 'hype' would've been racing at 100mph and there'd have been campaigns, loads of votes etc.
