Manager Arsene Wenger is now the second-highest paid Premier League boss, according to Mirrorfootball.co.uk. The Gunners gaffer's new three-year contract reportedly saw him earn a 20% pay rise, meaning he has surpassed Cesc Fabregas as the club's highest paid employee. The deal equates to around £6m per year, or £115,000 each week - some £5,000 more than the Spaniard. Wenger also now reportedly earns more than top-of-the-table rivals Sir Alex Ferguson and Roberto Mancini, despite Arsenal themselves not possessing quite the financial luxury afforded to their league table neighbours.



Ben Arfa £12m offer.

French TV broadcaster TF1 have claimed that Arsenal are set to launch a £12m bid for long-term target Hatem Ben Arfa. Wenger was first linked with the Marseille midfielder some three years ago, while the youngster was at Lyon - and it is thought he could finally be close to landing his man. Marseille Sporting Director Jose Anigo has confirmed that "Ben Arfa has the choice between two or three clubs, but we also have to find an agreement with the club which is not the case so far." The France star has also been linked with Newcastle and Liverpool in recent weeks.
