I actually agree with you, easypeasy.
It is one year ago that this happened so it is right that we have it in our memories. And it will be remembered...
.. until the next big disaster happens and it'll all fade into the background.
Personally, I thought the attack was horrible but slightly blown out of proportion. It's sad to see anything of this sort happend but it seemes like Britain were trying to replicate the media attention of the attacks of 9/11.. and it can't because there is no comparison at all. It's a sort of monkey-see, monkey-so situation. George Bush's country does it this way so we must too.
That's just my opinion anyway.
A sad day, indeed. One that should be commemorated well.
