The reason why the viaduct looks taller (& why they blocked off the road that used to go under it, with the Turner's Joinery shop) is because that they built the new Corrie studio behind it, that is the newer orange brick that you can see... When you see the opening credits the top of the viaduct is all that is shown...
I remember when Elsie Tanner left (showing my age lol) and she walked off through under that viaduct...
