Well, it's fairly simple, really. If you vote out housemates that have a big impact, the show fails.
Are you suggesting that makes people clever?
It's like a soap producer deciding to remove the main character for absolutely no reason whatsoever. The show would thus fail.
Or a football manager deciding to remove the best player - the team would thus [or would be more likely to] fail.
Now do you get it? It's the same with reality TV shows...it's not hard to understand...
