Arsenal will make a double Ajax swoop to strengthen their defencein January if Wenger is not suitably impressed with how his back line and first choice keeper have faired by the mid season transfer window. The Emirates boss has a transfer warchest and is ready to spend big to bring in Dutch international keeper Maarten Stekelenburg and Belgian centre back Jan Vertonghen.
