Of course they would have continued. But there would've been less to talk about - that is a fact. And the less there is, the worse it is. Surely you can see that? Remember the final few days of BB11 when all the big characters had left, leaving us with one of the dullest final line-ups ever? There were no discussions whatsoever, excluding the highlights thread. And why? Because nothing was happening. If that isn't conclusive proof that big characters, like them or loathe them are needed - then I don't know what is.
Let's be honest here, the BB11's cast is a contender for one of the worst casts of all time. John saved a good few weeks at the start of the series into the middle of the series after all the early 'big characters' [Rachael, Govan, even Sunshine] had been evicted by the always foolish and clueless voting public. None of the others were really delivering. And even after it livened up a bit he still kept it interesting when things started to go downhill. Fauxmance or no fauxmance [to be quite honest that whole thing never interested me or bothered me], he was a good housemate.
But hey, if you're the type that would rather watch Rachel Rice, then fine, as long as you realise you've contributed to BB's axe...

Woah. That is just all kinds of wrong.
An arse of a guy does not make a good HM - it's exactly views such as that which have killed the show. You can't state something that didn't happen and is just your ill conceived conjecture as "fact". I don't like Rachel Rice. Fail. Fail. Fail.
Yes the characters weren't great but they had potential yet we never had the opportunity to explore them fully because BB was so fixated on the JJJ show.
If JJ had gone early, there would have been no fauxmance, the producers wouldn't have promoted Josie for the win and who knows it might have actually been a worthwhile show.
