I disagree completely.

Not lots of people! At all! Not in comparison to the amount that haven't. Which is irrelevant anyway, her experience is still the same.

While being obviously very awful, of course going through stuff like that can be done without being traumatized and deeply, deeply effected. But some times that is just completely impossible. And there are so, so many variables that determine that you couldn't possibly know to what level if affected her.
And can't possibly say that she is the way acts the way she does through choice and not as a consequence of her life.
