If they kept to the original format it wouldn't still be going at all.
Everything has a shelf life. It only took until BB4 for the novelty of the original format to wear off.
Then the second era "Evil" wore off by BB7 and BB8-11 was a complete car crash pantomime that got less popular with each series. Big Brother has died. Sad but true.
Just have to look forward to the next "revolutionary" tv show.
