I think the shock eviction twists were great when they were more subtle.
For example BB3's first eviction when they were told to choose on the spot, or when Stuart was evicted via the diary room in BB5.
It got too much when they overcomplicated twists such as the back and forthness of the Halfway House and the Guru twist.
BB was great when they had simple twists that had maximum effect.
