This punishment reminds me of school. The teacher keeps everyone behind for 10 minutes after school because 1 or 2 people were being naughty. It's always the same naughty kids and they don't feel guilt, therefore it doesn't teach them anything. Go figure.
If anything Jayne would maybe think about breaking the rules even more if it saves her from nomination.
