Tonights the night
It's the day a nation of TV lovers has been waiting for, as well as an army of water cooler gossips. So will the launch of Big Brother tonight be met with frenzied celebrations up and down the country?
While levels of anticipation are reaching fever pitch, the party preparations, it seems, are being put on the back burner.
Low-key is the order of the day and if the official BB forum is anything to go by, the best way to make merry this Launch Night will be with a curry.
Yes, it's true. Fancy dress parties are being snubbed in favour of takeaway food and beer!
"I'm gonna be sat on my sofa with the curtains shut, the phone unplugged, the telly on, the beers in, the crisps and icecream..." one sensible fan explains. A_nother simply describes their solitary Big Brother party as, "Beers in the fridge, pizzas in the freezer and 2000 fags in the cupboard."
Nights out on the town are being called off in favour of watching the soon-to-be-famous twelve: "Was meant to be going out with the boys Friday Night," one forum user confesses, "but I told them I was busy, just to stay in front of the idiot box with a fridge full of beers, cupboard full of tortillas and dips and the phone to hand for a takeaway."
So it would seem foregoing a big bash in favour of a quiet night in with all your creature comforts to hand is the coolest way to spend this most exciting evening.
Grab yourself a takeaway menu, the remote control and lest we forget, a cold beer, then settle down and enjoy!
