If you say that then you're using the word 'gay' in a bad light. Gay has two meanings. Gay as in sexuality and gay as in happy.
There is homophobia out there so to use it to describe something bad is rather disrespectful to gay people whether it is intended or not.

BUT a word can gain a new meaning right? I'm pretty sure people reacted this way when us gays started using the word to describe us as a group of people.
