People are missing the facts slightly here....Gamu hasnt had a visa turned down, her mother has.
Her mother was here on a work visa while she was supposed to be studying by all accounts, but she then knowingly claimed for benefits she was not entitled to.
Its Gamus mum who is being deported and as her children were here via that original visa, then they to must go.
Gamu is 18 now and i guess can apply for a visa in her own right, but as someone who has had experience with this sort of thing, i know the Bureaucrats will want her to return home and applying from there.

On another issue, just because this girls life back home will be sh1te compared to what we are accustomed to here, it doesnt mean she should automatically get her visa....there are millions just like her in Zimbabwe whose life is at rock bottom in respect of poverty....in fact its like that for millions more around the world....but we as a country cnnot just allow them all to come here as a sympathy vote.

For all those that want her to stay and for her mother to be allowed to stay even though she is a benefits cheat, think long and hard about how the up and coming cuts in government spending may affect you and dont then moan when your child benefit is slashed and your local services are reduced while your council tax rises.
