Cher Lloyd was apparently close to collapse after Sunday night's X Factor results show.

The 17-year-old is said to have burst into tears, started shaking hysterically, screamed at passers-by and collapsed backstage after it was announced that she had got through to next week's show.

Lloyd even needed the support of a crew member as a "human crutch" in order to get to her waiting car, according to the Daily Star, and show bosses are becoming increasingly worried about her fragile condition.

A source said: "It's not looking good for her. She may have an amazing voice on stage but once the bright lights are off she is a wreck. We don't know how she is going to last until Christmas."

Another insider added: "Cher is a real cause for concern now. Her mood swings, tantrums and now this collapse are adding up."

Lloyd won rave reviews from the judges for her performance of 'Just Be Good To Me' on Saturday's first live show, for which she was reportedly given vitamin injections to combat her nerves.
