And when I say immersed I mean as a fan of hip hop/RnB. I don't mean she is a full artist herself but that she has a genuine love for that genre.

That much I can agree on; she definitely fits into that sound and it's quite clear she loves the music she performs; but it's outrageous for her to claim she wrote those lyrics or for the judges to pass her off as original, she's doing cover versions like everyone else, except they're glossing over that fact with her. I also think that by the time Cher (if she won) came out with her debut album, music will have moved on to a new sound.
