Pete isn't manipulative, because you don't think he is, that's purely subjective.
What annoys me, is that pete knows Nikki fancies him, yet he can't say anything to her, instead, he tells the camera in the diary room, or Mikey and then rubs it in her face with someone he knows that Nikki doesn't like.
