Because Becky, the aspiring singer who recorded dance tracks with Ian and his Trilogy Project partners, was X Factor favourite Rebecca Ferguson.
Juice FM DJ Ian said: “When I watched the auditions, I couldn’t believe it. But I wasn’t surprised when I heard Simon’s comments because he said what I said. She just has such a brilliant, unique voice.”
The Trilogy Project – Ian, Ged Fleming and Danny Fisher – recorded a version of the dance anthem Nobody’s Business with Rebecca.
