I used to know people who worked for Next in Scotland (half of what I wear is from the Next Directory sale, by the way ... especially shoes ... small feet ... great bargains ...
) and they used to tell me that people spent more money on clothes in Glasgow than anywhere else in the UK ... so their shops up there were REALLY important ... is that still true ... ?
