Ben did not flirt with just Mario, its his nature and he treats everyone that way. Going by your reckoning then, if somebody enjoys a little innocent flirting they should then be up for accepting whatever the other person wants to do to them.
How is Ben saying 'we will only ever be friends and nothing more' confusing to Mario, how is Ben saying 'we dont know what the future holds but I will never want Mario's penis' not clear enough.
It sounds to me like what we hear in rape cases, when the accused says ' well I thought she was up for it because she kissed me, or 'I thought she was asking for it the way she was dressed'
