I'm generally open-minded about mysticism and other such things, but astrology is just a bunch of hokum based on an erroneous geocentric theory of the universe by the Greco-Roman astronomer Ptolemy, which was taken as gospel throughout the Middle Ages up until Copernicus and Galileo proved him wrong.
I could understand people being taken by it back in the day, but not now. Science has moved on.

No matter that they act like senile 12-year-olds on the Today programme website - smoking illegal fags to look tough and cool. No matter that Amis coins truly abominable terms like 'the age of horrorism' and when criticised tells people to 'fuck off'. Surely we all chuckle at the strenuous ennui of his salon drawl.
