Longevity is what matters in the music business, it''s easy to put out one best selling album but it takes skill and talent to keep it up and stay relevent with the times. When it comes down to it if you look at both artists rise to fame Gaga's pretty much emulated Madonna's. Madonna used shock tactics to get people to pay attention and so does Gaga. Only that with Gaga it's a lot more shallow since it's all about her fashion. That's why I'm saying you wouldn't have Gaga without Madonna as Gaga's pretty much been reading from the Madonna Playbook sicne she's started out.

Well no-one knows how long Gaga will be around for but I think she has longevity in her.. as long as she has her support and fanbase that remains consistent.
