American idol is stale and boring now. Has been going downhill in recent years and the winners are achieving zilch.
It has a limited age range and the performances are simple with no choreography or dancers etc. Xfactor just brings so much more diversity.
I think America is definitely ready for the change. AI will probably finish after the next season.
