What a few people have been saying is that Matt is one of the most outstanding skillful talents on any X-Factor and most definitely can go onto a successful career.
Full-time, in the music industry, making profits and maybe more importantly he has all it takes to have a real 'career'. Not only cashing in on the X-Factor season,
but,
go on to work year after year building a lifetime of music.

I think it might have been Prezzie or another member suggested he will put out 'generic' music.
Yes, I see what you are saying and that will be something he is going to have to get around.

But here is the difference for Matt:
Any top 'label' in the UK will have NO hesitation investing the time and money into Matt.
This means hiring the best songwriters and the best image consultants to make sure there is a 'unique Matt'.
Matt has that 'luxury' available to him after this.

But no, Matt will not be 'HUGE!'.
He will not pump out a big sensation 'super hit' cashing in on the X-Factor.
He doesn't have to.
He can take the time to invest in a long-term substantial career.

Yes, I have worked in the music industry (front and back) and 'no' I am not claiming the be-all-end-all in picking talent,
but,
Matt is a 'no-brainer'. Anyone who has spend any sort of time in the music industry can see this.
It was obvious from the very first episodes and even more obvious that Matt didn't just somehow 'stumble upon' X-Factor.
It was one of the options he could choose.
