I read that they are putting in planning permission for any future extensions to the set they may want to make, but initially will only be making a (slightly larger) exact copy of the current exterior set. They are also going down the route of what EastEnders did, ie building a set of cladding on a metal frame, rather than building proper houses out of brick etc... I just hope it looks ok, as it's bound to look at least a
bit different...
