Not all spoilt people are people who don't appreciate what they get, spoilt people can also be people who just get things for the sake of it. When people are given too much of what they want, they are harming the character by too much indulgence/pampering. Like they don't really want something but they'll be given it anyway, that's being spoilt. Some people ask for loads and are given everything they've asked for, doesn't mean they don't appreciate what they've got.
