Easiest to text id imagine would be blackberry, but i wouldnt buy an ugly phone because its easier to text lol.
Mum got a Wildfire HTC for christmas and its great for checking the weather, news, e mails etc..
All the new ones are especially the new ones.
Iphones are also good for that sort of thing due to having more apps..
