According to NME. I've included videos of their songs in the spoilers as loading up 20 at once would probably kill my computer.
The Vaccines
I'm not a fan, I think they're a bit generic.
James Blake
I quite like him, He'll be one I'll watch out for.
Jessie J
I hated 'Do It Like A Dude' but I like this. I might have written her off too quickly.
Anna Calvi
I love her, I've been following her for a few months now, I think she's one of the new acts I'm most looking forward to.
The Naked & The Famous
I want to like them but I can't, I don't mind this song though.
Brother
I couldn't find any videos of them, serves them right for having such a generic name.
Niki & The Dove
I like.....I like a lot.
Gypsy And The Cat
I'm unsure of them, haven't got much of an opinion of them.
Jamie Woon
I love him, Spirits is the better song of the two provided but they're both worth a listen.
Big Deal
Another Youtube shy group.
Grouplove
I don't think they're awful but I have a feeling they have the potential to become very annoying.
Oh Land
NME describes her as similar to Lykke Li but I think she shares more with The Knife. I like her, I'm becoming quite a fan of alternate scandinavian pop strangely enough (not a sentence I thought I'd ever say)
Fixers
Again they don't seem to be on Youtube.
MONA
They're nicknamed 'Princes of Leon' which suits them, they come across as the poundland version of KOL. I'll probably give them a bit more of a chance when I can find more of their material.
Spark
Hmm, another one I'm unsure on. I think she could go either way.
Cults
A bit boring, I could grow to like them though.
Suuns
Hmm, not bad. They have potential.
Tribes
Another shy band...
Vondelpark
Someone needs to tell the indie scene about a wonderful invention called youtube.
Odd Furniture
Stop me if you've heard this one before...
The original....article I suppose, can be found
here with links to free downloads and such for some artists.
Any you care about? I'm most interested in Anna Calvi, Jamie Woon, Oh Land and Niki & The Dove.
