Haha I did that when I decided to move to greece...rather stupidly though as it was a seasonal job. I gave up my job, and handed my notice in for moving out of my house, and bought my tickets on the same day. Was worth it though, would do it all over again if the oppurtunity arose.
Only problem was, not thinking it through properly and ending up back at my parents' for a while at the end of season
