You're making a bit of a generalisation when you say they come over here moaning though, most of them don't.

Yes, I see it looks like a generalisation. Obviously they don't all moan, but like everything, it's the ones that make the most fuss who get the most attention.
The prosperity benefited a minority of the British public. It's not like we're all living high on the hog because the century before last, we took India before France of Germany did.
