People won't fight back because for some stupid reason the house doesn't work that way this year. They bitch instead.
Michael talks about all his spirituality and tries to be intellectual and it is clear he is trying to make himself look smart and the other person stupid.
His remarks seem aimed at Imogen and the two just don't like each other.
