Just from a distance it looked like a self scanner to me, would be cool for the soaps to follow trend with them but then you would lose the over the counter gossip etc. from the shopkeeper and the customer so I can see why they wouldn't want to.

Don't see why a tiny little shop with the odd customer here and there would need a self scanner.
